Shiva and Santhanam start working on 'Ya Ya'


After making the audience laugh out loud with Kalakalapu, Shiva and Santhanam will be coming together again for their next project 'Ya Ya', for which the shooting has commenced today. The film will be directed by Rajasekar, who was an assistant to Director Rajesh.

Ya Ya will be a romantic comedy and coming from the man who co-worked in films like SMS, Boss Engira Baskaran and OKOK, it is likely to be a very good entertainer. Shiva, who is wrapping up his work with 'Thillu Mullu' and 'Sonna Puriyadhu', will be working closely with the crew. The producers have roped in Vijay Ebenezer of 'Kanden' fame for music.

Gautham Menon to team up with Simbu again


Gautham Menon's current film 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham' is nearing completion and the songs have become quite the rage among fans. Even as it is currently being discussed, rumours about his next have surfaced and they suggest that the director will be teaming up Simbu again in his next venture.

Initially, it was reported that Gautham Menon would be working with Suriya in his next, but since the project got scrapped, it is likely that he will turn to Simbu again. After the success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, it has long been debated that we might see a sequel to it soon. Now that the Gautham-Simbu pair is together again, we can expect it from the duo.

It is yet to be seen whether A.R.Rahman will be composing the music for the film, or if Gautham Menon will prefer Illayaraja again. No matter the choice, we are sure to have a great show on our hands when the team comes together.

Bala wants two new faces for his next


Director Bala has dropped tips on what his next project might be and reports suggest that he is looking for a couple of new faces to work in his next film. The director apparently wants have a double role in his film.

As his current film Paradesi is shaping up quickly and nearing completion, Bala stated his interest in working with young actors in his next. After initially suggesting that he might opt for Vikram or Suriya, it looks like he might more be interested in the likes of Vikram Prabhu and Gautham Karthik.

Meanwhile, Paradesi's teaser was released to the internet two days ago and is getting good responses from viewers and critics alike. Considering his track record, we can only expect the best from Bala, even in his next project, after Paradesi.

Rajamouli wants Hrithik for Maghadheera


Director S.S.Rajamouli, who is on a roll with his latest hit Eega has been busy with dubbing the film as 'Makkhi' in Hindi. However, his previous film Maghadheera which became a huge hit in the south is being remade in Hindi by Anurag Kashyap and the man who originally penned the script wants Hrithik Roshan to play the lead.

Although Hrithik Roshan has not shown interest in the project, and has also previously stated that he wouldn't prefer period films, Rajamouli believes he will be a perfect fit to play the role. The director also wants to make a Bollywood film of his own, but did not comment on the project.

'Kochadaiyaan' for Rajini b'day?


Soundarya R Ashwin, who is making her directorial debut with 'Kochadaiyaan', which has her father Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, is said to be working tirelessly towards one single agenda.



That is to release the movie on the Superstar's birthday on December 12, to make it as a perfect treat to millions of Rajini fans.

"The post production works are on in a hectic pace. Since the movie is being made using performance capturing technology, undivided attention is needed for event minute things," sources say.

It is expected that the audio launch function would take place soon. With A R Rahman scoring the music, the film has Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Shobana, Nasser and Aadhi in crucial roles.

'Aadhi Bhagavan' trailer launch soon


The audio of Ameer's 'Aadhi Bhagavan', which has 'Jayam' Ravi as the protagonist, was launched at a grand function in Toronto.



Now the cast and crew of the movie are heading towards India, as they are planning to hold a trailer launch function in Chennai later this week.

"The audio launch event was marked by cultural programmers, including dance performances and live rendering of songs. And the trailer release function in Chennai too will be a grand event," sources say.

Neetu chandra is the heroine of this 'Mafioso Action Love Story', which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is expected that the movie would hit the screens before the end of this month.

Sillunu Oru Sandhippu audio launch set for October 14th


Kollywood is the most happening place to be in right now, as a wide range of films get ready for release. Joining the list will be Sillunu Oru Sandhippu, whose audio launch has been scheduled for the 14th of October. The movie features Vimal, Oviya and Deepa Sha in the lead and is being directed by Ravi Lallin.



The film has been shot in Chennai, Malaysia and Ooty and one of the tracks titled 'Buse Buse' features the voice of Vijay Prakash. The song underlines the celebration of 'Bus day' that is held in college every year. The music by FS Faizal will be launched in Sun TV on the 14th and the trailer launch of the film will happen on the same day between 9:30 and 10:30 A.M. Sillunu Oru Sandhippu is being produced by S Nandhagpoal and is under the banner of Madras Enterprises.
